now listening to: Jamiroquai
Another parental shoutout, specifically my dad because I think he put my mom on. My earliest memory of Jamiroquai begins with a purple tape - my mom’s friend made her a mix (which introduced me to Portishead, be on the lookout for their post!) and on there were the two groovy songs “Love Foolosophy” and “Little L”. Then later, I asked my dad for some CD recommendations and he gave me The Return of the Space Cowboy, which I used to play all the way, every day, before and after school, for a good while in 7th grade. You probably know them for the Napoleon Dynamite banger “Canned Heat”. Either way, you NEED to know this band.

I just really could not get into the other albums due to the heavy electronic vibes versus the groovy, worldly vibes his earlier music brings. Here’s what I did like from the remaining projects:
Synkronized: “Canned Heat”
Dynamite: “Dynamite”, “Seven Days in Sunny June” (this was originally my favorite song, but it’s running with its money after hearing some other tracks)
Rock Dust Light Star: “She’s a Fast Persuader”, “Two Completely Different Things”
