zoinks! jinkies!! zinkies!!!
They say “Trick or Treat”, but I had both last year! Making 3 zines larger than I normally do, especially 2 in B&W like I normally wouldn’t, was certainly a trick, just as much as creating the word search, unscramble, and yes, all that shading. But what a treat to see the final copies being perused by my family; I can’t wait for their limited appearance in the boutique this year!
Vol. 1: Food & Fear
Volume One is for the scaredy cats who resonate with Shaggy & Scooby; you didn’t actually sign up to take a bite out of crime! All you heard was bite.
Table of Contents: Draw the Face of Your Fear; 5 Horror Stars; Cool/Creepy Creatures; To Fear/Eat or Not to Are The Questions; Spooked Starter Sentences; Dracula’s Dinner Invite; Spooky Word Search; The Feminine Mystique Meets the Masculine Fear
Vol. 2: Logic & Lore
Volume Two is for the logical leaders, like Velma, who like taking the “psycho” out of psychoanalyzing. All that truly mystifies you is the connection to made between what appears good & evil…
Table of Contents: Word Unscramble; Describe Your Mystery, Inc. Vibe; Fun Facts About Bones; Celebrating the Harvest; Vote for New Death [Ritual]; Hear Your Halloween History; Detailing Los Dias
Vol. 3: Lovely & Festive
Volume Three is for what I call the “aesthetic heroes”, the Freds’ and Daphnes’ of the spooky set. These folks were really trying to do something fun, like hit up the bonfire or a huge Halloween party, but once they solve the case, there’s sure to be a big reward and cameras around! An even better way to maintain your reputation as a popular figure in the community.
Table of Contents: none!
